A summer tradition: camping, with a twist

I like camping. I’ve probably been actual camping (not glamping… Glamour camping, a more mild and comfortable form of traditional, sleeping on hard ground camping) around 4 or 5 times to date. I’ve always had a pretty good time out there, minus the bugs, which of course are a part of being in nature. Unfortunately. I haven’t tried glamping yet, but after reading an older NY Times article about on of the ultimate glamping experiences at the Clayoquot Wilderness Resort and then looking at the pictures – well let’s just say I’d be up for that any day. Since I won’t be in Canada (British Columbia, more precisely) and I definitely am not looking to spend an upwards of 5k on a few days of glamping with comfy beds and Persian rugs, I found several of my own (nautical or preppy themed – no boring solid navy, green or khaki please) camping essentials. Of course, glamping at Clayoquot is still probably something I’d prefer to do, so that will have to go on the bucket list!

striped tent, marine life plates, pink grill, anchor sleeping bag, sailboat picnic cloth, polk dot water bottle

And my favorite… Keep Calm + Carry On crown chair. Perfect for around the fire, fixing some s’mores right?
